July Meteor Slalom Challenge @ 6th Aug 2018

With all the stunning weather we had some stunning results during the month.
10 members posted their July slalom results.

While the rest of us practice and struggle, we had Jason who dropped in for a couple of skis and casually clocked up a superb score of 4@16m-55 and a big welcome back to Robert, getting 4@52 on his first outing. Some people are naturally talented - envy!!

Colin posted his best score this year so far with 4@55. Des for the second consecutive month agonisingly missed out moving on to 16m with another score of 6@55. Lizzy is still scaring the buoys!, Robby keeps advancing each month and posted scores of 2@55. Jonathan consistently gets into 16m every time and is determined to get past buoy 4.

Two members got into 14m (a dream for the majority of us). Ivan, who was a slow burner this year, got 1 @16m-55 and Barry, who is awarded the consistency award for July, scored 2@14m-55 every time he put his slalom ski on (7 times in all!).

Rory started the month well with a score of 6@55 but seemed to be stuck on this and it wasn't until 27th that a break through came when he got 3@58. Not content with this he posted an outstanding score on the last day of the month of 3@16m -58.

So the Meteor Slalom Supremo for the month of July is - Rory Rankin.

Well done to all.
The slalom challenge is open to all members no matter what standard, so make sure you post your scores for August.
